Nice series about different kinds of sustainable growth practices in different areas. A good peak into the world of sustainable farming.

Best

Sustain is a brief glimpse into the benefits of various types of sustainable farming. Highly recommend if you are new to sustainable gardening/farming, looking for something educational to show/teach your kids, or looking for a shorter watch on a stimulating subject. My only complaint is wishing they showcased a few more places.Episode One: The owner of Colorado aquaponics, JD Sawyer, explains aquaponics and his farm. Topics include: plants, fish, fish tanks, filtration, pumps, how it works, the recycling of the system, working with local restaurants, providing for the neighborhood.Episode Two: GrowHaus is an indoor urban farm, education center, and marketplace. They help people who have the challenge of living in a “food desert”.Episode Three: Chef Mehta, owner of Graffiti Earth in New York, discusses ugly food, visits a farmer’s market and Kalustyan’s, and then demonstrates what you can do with ugly food.“Graffiti Earth’s philosophy is how we can save the planet a little at a time in terms of food waste, in terms of material waste, in terms of people waste, it could be anything of that nature.”Episode Four: Jack Griffin of Metropolis Farms discusses vertical farming, solar powered solutions, the money and energy wasted to get the food to the cities, and how to end world hunger.Episode Five: Jacqueline Church visits two rooftop farms in Boston (Higher Ground Farm and Fenway Farms) and takes a look at farm-to-table dining. They discuss how they got started, what they are growing, and how they are working with local restaurants to provide fresh food.
