IDEER LIFE Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics I own three different models of aerogarden and a few other tabletop gardening systems and I must say that this system really measures up well, comparatively. It is quite large, which I like...a lot of room to grow some large, mature plants here. It's very attractive.... modern looking. I love the silky feel of the bamboo wood. Nice quality grow light built-in. It's relatively easy to assemble. We're very excited to get started growing with this one.

Best IDEER LIFE Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics I own several hydroponic devices by different companies. I have only had this for a few weeks so I can't speak to it's longterm operations but as of now it is my favorite device. First, it looks nice and fits well into home decor and doesn't look like a cheap piece of plastic in the middle of nice home furnishings. I really like to pump device. It is quiet but not silent. It keeps the water moving and oxygenated through the bubbling movement. All my seeds started to sprout in the first week. I also like that the 14 hour on 10 hour off timer works automatically and doesn't require a complicated set of actions to set it. Just make sure you turn it on in early in the morning so it will shut the light off automatically at night. The water pump stays on all the time. When some of the plants start growing more I'll update this with some pics.

IDEER LIFE Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics I've owned many Aerogardens and other hydroponic systems and this is one of the best. The overall quality is high, the construction is good, the electronics are adequate, and the bamboo is really a nice break from all the plastic gardens on the market. However, there are a few design problems with this product that make it not-quite-perfect. 1) No water level indicator. This could be an inexpensive water level float or buoy, but that is not included so you have to keep an eye on the water level. 2) Cords. The electrical cords to the pump and lamp are unruly and the manufacturer's solution of stick-on cord guides is not aesthetically pleasing. 3) The BIG PROBLEM: Neither the lamp height nor the height of the base are adjustable. By fixing the distance the grow surface is from the lamp, plants will not get enough light during the sprouting/seedling phase. You can put blocks under the reservoir to lift it up, but again, this is not a pleasing solution. The lamp is screwed into the top of the unit (not adjustable), so providing a way to adjust the reservoir's base would be a huge improvement to this product. I'm including a photo of a block solution I created. It's in the "lower" position for after the seeds sprouted. Imagine the blocks turned 90° for the "high" position.
