ShungRu Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics I got this herb garden because it was one of the less expensive ones on amazon. so far i feel the build quality is good and comes with almost everything you need to get started. the instructions for setup were fair, but it's not too hard to figure out. it does not come with seeds, so you need to get your own. the light adjusts by angle but not by height. also the cord is a little on the short side, depending on where you plan on plugging it in. those are the only 2 changes i would make to this. i will update as this does well/bad as i have just planted my first seeds. i have high hopes for this!
Best ShungRu Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics I am pretty disappointed. I've had this planter since March and so far the chives came up grew a couple of inches and remain the same and are thin and wispy...not harvestable. Same with the oregano. I could use some suggestions as I would like to give it another try.
ShungRu Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics Our family has been using a huge outside aqua-phonic system for a while now with a relative success.I wanted to get this to always have a fresh herb garden by my side when cooking (+it looks pretty and produces oxygen/cleans the air).The system has two buckets; each of them can hold about a cup-size amount of water.The bucket fills in with a light pretty brown material. This is different from what we have in an outside system - pebble-like porous spheres.The UV light lamp that is placed above the plants can be adjusted at different angles.The machine has some built-in intelligence: it lets you know when the buckets are short on water.I purchased green onions, cut off and used all the green parts, I placed the bottom in water.Onions successfully rooted and started already producing greens.All in all the device seems to be working.
