Hydrofarm Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics Good design, quality construction. It's pretty obvious who the main customer for this product is but I bought mine to clone woodier ornamental bushes like loropetelum and azaleas. My failure rate for my first batch is 14 out of 20 so far and I don't see roots on the cuttings I still have, they just haven't withered away yet. Probably all my fault: I'm using outside in the middle of a heat wave and I inadvertently placed it in about 2 hours of direct sunlight; additionally, I have not changed the water and have unplugged the bubbler a couple times because I needed the outlet. My bad. Hopefully, I can make the necessary adjustment and get better results. As far as the 90+% of people who might want this for an indoor grow: I do not recommend ordering this product from Amazon as the packaging was not discrete at all! It arrived in its retail packaging (a colorful box that shows exactly what it is) rather than nestled inside of a wastefully large, generic cardboard box like Amazon does for EVERY OTHER ITEM I'VE EVER PURCHASED!!! It might as well call the people on you

Best Hydrofarm Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics I have had the cloner for a little over a month now and EVERY clone that I have attempted to grow has died. I follow the directions and watched the video given..still nothing. PH is as recommended, water is tap as recommended, Clonex is used on cuttings..still nothing. I had to take the pump out it made the water too hot, now mind you I live in New England it is February and my houses temp is 68 degrees inside the tent is at about 72-75. I'm at a loss, very disappointed with my results. Maybe if anyone out there has any suggestions, I would love to hear. Thank you!

Hydrofarm Indoor Gardening & Hydroponics First off this unit is great for the price. You can’t really build a unit like this for the price. I’ve built dwc cloners in the past and by the time you source all the parts you end up right at the $50 mark anyhow. That being said this unit is not without a flaw. Just one flaw IMO. The water pump that’s included raises the water temp by 10 degrees. The easiest way to combat this is to just remove the water pump. Replace the air pump with a dual outlet unit ($10-15) and add another air stone. This creates plenty of turbulence and mist for your cuttings and reduces water temp which helps prevent the water from growing algae.Cloning Tip: Number your collars with a black sharpie. Then as you insert clones just write down the number and strain. This makes it easy to keep track of which clones are which so you never lose track.Tip #2: Change out your water every 7 days. Put the lid with your clones on an open empty box while swapping out the water solution. This keeps the clones moist and won’t hurt the clones while you’re swapping out the water solution.Tip #3: Fully clean the tub and lid between cloning sessions. Otherwise algae can build up and create a mess. It takes minutes to clean it out with rubbing alcohol or peroxide. Let it air out before filling and starting your next session.Tip #4: Small clear solo cups can be used for makeshift domes if you have cuttings that start to wilt. Just mist the inside of the cup and place it over top of the clone. I recommmed clear so they still get light and don’t start flowering prematurely. This unit fits perfectly into The Growing Rack that’s I use in a daily basis for indoor growing. It’s perfect.Follow me on IG @thegrowingrack or @thegrowingshop for more tips and tricks.
